Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a list of some frequently asked questions to help you when deciding to book one of our camps.

FAQ

Q. Can I get a refund?

A. Not all payments can be refunded. However, if you cannot attend for whatever reason please e-mail us to discuss the matter and our team will see what they can do.

Important: Please also note that refunds can only be offered up until two weeks before the event. After that the only option is to sell the ticket, in which case you must inform us of the person’s details you sold it to so we know who is turning up on the day.

Q. What should I bring?

A. We recommend bringing 2x Gi’s and 2x sets of NoGi plus gum shield if needed. Clothing and toiletries you may need for the duration of the weekend. We also recommend waterproofs and hiking boots for outdoor activities.

Q. I’m a beginner do I need to have a certain amount of experience to take part?

A. Absolutely not, everyone starts somewhere so why not start in the best place possible, in the mountains!

Q. Do I have to be a member of a particular gym?

A. Most definitely not! Everyone is welcome at our camps and we encourage people to get to know people from other clubs and gyms in the hope that in the future they will train at a variety of different places around the country.

Q. Can I reserve a spot by paying a deposit?

A. No, unfortunately it would make it very difficult to manage and would cause a lot of headache if people were to cancel their spots last minute. Payment is due in full which will reserve you your spot on the retreat.

Q. Is it COVID safe?

A. We will follow the government guidelines and COVID safe procedures to ensure proper hygiene standards are maintained.

Q. What if COVID restrictions mean the event has to be cancelled?

A. If the event is cancelled due to COVID restrictions, then you will be entitled to a full refund or guaranteed a spot at a future camp.

Q. How many seminars will there be?

A. A full timetable will be available with times and places of each seminar. Seminars are not mandatory and you can pick and choose which seminars/activities you do.

Q. Do you provide transport?

A. Unfortunately we do not currently offer transport to the venue. You will have to arrange your own transport to and from the venue.

Q. Is food included?

A. Attendees will need to make their own eating arrangements. There are local food places where you can purchase food from. If staying in the accommodation there are also facilities for cooking.

Q. Are there laundry facilities?

A. We aim to book accommodation for our attendees that offers a good range of facilities. With the nature of the sport, we try to make laundry facilities a priority when looking for accommodation however, we cannot guarantee this.

Q. What other amenities are there?

A. We will post information regarding the accommodation on our social media pages so that attendees can check out what’s on offer beforehand. We always aim to book places that offer a good variety of amenities to allow those attending as much comfort as possible.
